General Updates
- Meeting Minutes: Moving forward, in order to improve transparency, minutes will be made public and posted on the News section of our website.
- Task Delegation: Each board role will include clearly assigned tasks to improve organization.
- Monthly Meetings: Will continue on Sunday evenings for consistency.
- Maggie will step away after baseball/softball season but remain involved in a limited role.
- Bylaw Review - And posting for transparency
🏟️ Facility & Equipment
- Bathroom Project: We’re gathering 3 quotes to move forward. Audria to pursue bids and grant options, including Gerber State Bank.
- Dugout Covers & Batting Cages: Confirm if Argenta in Motion is still involved. Will follow up for other options if not
- Concession Stand Access: Explore adding digital locks or realtor boxes at fields so we don't have (and lose) so many keys
- Inventory:
- Courtney Tippit to lead Field & Equipment again. Cora (and others) to do full inventory of items that should be tossed vs traded in. Will propose suggested new items (and budget) to be available to teams at practices.
⚾ Concessions
- Ron continues to stock West and East fields;
Maggie is covering High School and Prairie Park.
- Note: No storage allowed at HS concession until their season ends.
- Worker Expectations: Arrive 30 mins early; open windows 15 mins before game.
- Worker Pay: HS students receive $20/game.
- Umpire Pay at Prairie Park: Christine to manage. Looking into Venmo/PayPal options for payments.
🧢 Uniforms & Rosters
- Uniform Note: At registration, parents will be asked if they need new hats/visors to help save on costs. (Thanks, Cora!)
- Uniform Lead: Danita Roseman (with support from Jacob Manning)
- Coach Rosters: Cora Herek and Courtney Tippit to lead, with help from Kathleen.
- Background Checks: Required for all assistants and volunteers.
🗓️ Tournaments
- Peanut Tournament in AO: Saturday, June 28
- Freshman Tournament:
- June 20–24 with possible championship on June 25/26
- Single and consolation brackets
- Seeding pulled from GameChanger
- Matt to schedule umpires
- Jennifer and Hayley to provide tournament rules
- Volunteers Needed for both events!
💰 Budget & Financials
- Annual Budget being developed by Audria and Christine
- Umpires: ~$6,000
- Game Balls: ~$600
- Field lining: ~$2,500
- Additional categories: Equipment, uniforms, concessions, etc.
📣 Community Outreach & Events
- Marketing/Outreach: Cortney Benton will lead.
- Tasks include creating flyers, coordinating social posts, and maximizing awareness across all platforms.
- Fundraising & Sponsorship:
- Audria will serve as chair for both.
- Coordinates with Marketing for timing and promotion.
- Sports Offered:
- Baseball/Softball: Ages 4–18
- Basketball: Grades 3–6
- Volleyball: Grades 3–5
