Meeting Highlights:

• Treasurer Update:
  Christine announced her intention to step down as Treasurer following the conclusion of the volleyball season.

• New Board Members:
  The board welcomed the following new members:
  Dylan Wayne, Kayla Frantz, Jennifer Barringer, Myranda Luttrell, Danielle Fuller, Brent Ferrill

Baseball / Softball:

• Registration & Team Planning:

  • Team numbers must be finalized by March 7, ahead of the CIYC meeting on March 8.

  • Player registration fees will be waived for a head coach’s child (approved by vote).

• Pitching Mounds:

  • Mustang division will be required to have pitching mounds beginning with the 2027 season.

• Field Preparation:

  • $35 approved for lining fields.

Uniforms:

• Girls:

  • Jersey included

  • Visor optional (parents may opt in or out during registration)

  • Socks will no longer be provided

• Boys:

  • Jersey and hat included

  • Due to the new logo rollout, opting out of the hat will not be available

Registration Fees & Deadlines:

• Registration fee last year was $90.

• Shetland & Peanut divisions: $65 due to fewer games.

• Registration will close on March 1, followed by a one-week grace period with a $10 late fee.

Basketball:

• For next season, youth league basketballs will be used for games.

• A set-up and clean-up checklist will be created for concession workers.

Volleyball:

• A set-up and clean-up checklist will also be created for volleyball concession workers.

• The board discussed keeping basketball and volleyball jerseys year over year.

Concessions:

• Baseball concession workers will be paid $25 per game.

Parent & Coach Meetings:

• Parent Meeting:

  • March 22 in the Bomber Gym (Elementary School)

  • Softball: 5:00 PM

  • Baseball: 6:00 PM

  • Expectations for athletes will be reviewed

• Coaches Meeting:

  • March 15 at 3:00 PM

• Game Schedule Meeting:

  • Planned for mid-April

Summer Camps:

• The board discussed bringing back summer baseball and basketball camps previously hosted by the high school.

• Brent Ferrill and Mike T. will explore options, with Mike serving as a liaison.

Surveys & Feedback:

• Post-season surveys will be sent to parents and coaches after each sport to gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities.

Financial Planning:

• Discussion held on improving understanding of monthly and yearly spending, revenue tracking, and creating a formal budget.

Organization & Communications:

• Committees were discussed, either by sport or as league-wide committees.

• The board will transition communications to Google Chat.

• New Logo: Cortney will work on logo concepts and share them with the group.
