Meeting Highlights:

• New Board Members Added:
  Colleen Force, Bri Pearson, Mike Thomas, Kyle Finke, and Gunner Manion were added to the board.

• Treasurer Transition:
  Christine Sample officially stepped down as Treasurer.
  Colleen Force assumed the Treasurer role.

Pitching Mounds:

• The league will need one pitching mound for the West Diamond.

• Cortney Benton will send Jennifer information on where pitching mounds were purchased for the Decatur Park District.

Middle Diamond Renovations:

• Argenta in Motion has agreed to assist with costs.

• Target timeline is March or early April, prior to game play.

• Potential improvements discussed:

  • Backstop and fencing

  • Shade additions

  • Extending dugouts to be wider

  • New benches

• Work will need to be completed on weekends.

• Estimates are required before proceeding.

• Brent Ferrill, Gunner Manion, and Kyle Finke will work on developing estimates to present to the board.

Field & Concession Clean-Up Day:

• March 21 at Noon
  Location: Prairie Park

• Typically minimal cleanup required.

• Brent Ferrill will till all diamonds.

• Middle and West Diamonds will need leaf cleanup and possibly mowing.

• West Diamond Needs:

  • Additional silty sand for first base and home plate

  • Installation of a home plate

  • Removal of an old refrigerator from the West concession area

• Laura Rittenhouse and Colleen Force will reach out to Kyle Logue regarding work on the West Diamond.

Picture Day:

• April 25

• Chelsea Sisson will take the lead on planning.

• Activities discussed:

  • Bake sale

  • Basket sale

  • Apparel sale

• Lunch option to be explored (Chelsea to follow up).

• Coffee truck for the morning is being explored; Audria will contact 121 Coffee and Rockwell.

• Kona Ice was also discussed as a possibility.

Fundraising:

• The league will not hold the annual super raffle this year.

• Instead, the following fundraisers will be pursued:

  • Krispy Kreme (Danita)

  • Big Blue Energy (Chelsea)

  • Stickers – The Doodling SLP (Danita)

  • Possible Double Good Popcorn fundraiser

• The annual fundraiser will return once more information is available regarding funding needs for the West Bathrooms, so the community understands the scope of the project.

West Bathrooms:

• Must have 3 complete proposals to submit to the school board for approval.

• Mike Thomas will take the lead on the West Bathroom project, transitioning from Audria.

• Gunner Manion will assist due to his work with Richards Building Supply.

• The board discussed:

  • Purchasing a new shed and selling the existing one

  • Adding bathrooms and plumbing within the current structure rather than expanding it

• Audria will send all existing information received from Burdick to Mike for review and next steps.

Uniforms:

• Danita presented three softball and three baseball uniform options.

• Pricing will be obtained for:

  • Girls: blue jersey with orange sleeves

  • Boys: orange jersey

• Proposed uniform layout:

  • AOYL logo on the front

  • Sponsor logos on sleeves

  • Player last name and number on the back

• Danita will return with pricing details.
